RYOHEI YAMASHITA

Ryohei Yamashita is an artist who creates vibrant, dynamic works based on the concept of "Energyism." His most representative works include the Samurai and Athlete Series.

He established his own art brand, "LIKE A ROLLING STONE," under which he presents his work.

In 2015, he won the "eplus Award" at the art fair "UNKNOWN ASIA."

Personal History

1973 - Born in Fukuoka.
1994 - Started as a street artist.
1996 - Graduated in Visual Communication Design Department of Kyushu Institute of Design (now Kyushu University)
2002 - Moved his studio to Yokohama.
2008 - Passed an audition for digmeout, an artist discovery project by FM802.
2008 - Held his first solo exhibition, “ART ADVENTURES”.
2009 - Performed live painting at SUMMER SONIC.
2010 - Established the art brand “LIKE A ROLLING STONE”. Started marketing artwork.
2012 - Held a solo exhibition tour, “BUMP!”, in Osaka, Tokyo, and Fukuoka.
2014 - Held a solo exhibition tour, “MOMENT”, in Fukuoka and Tokyo.

2019 - Moved his studio to Fujisawa city.
